A parcel arrives with a mark nobody recognises. Six short missions of symbols, coded notes and a garden trail — and at the end of them, a surprise that turns out to be for your child.
Twenty-five minutes, eight sheets, no tension. This is the one to start with.
The six missions
- Find the special parcel — three parcels, three marks, one that matches.
- Read the secret message — a picture key turns two symbols into a destination.
- Follow the garden trail — leaf, cup, kite, from the gate to the pavilion.
- The missing symbol — one shape is gone, and it sealed the parcel.
- The welcome message — three fragments in the wrong order spell out one sentence.
- The agent greeting — invent your own. A wave, a word, a drawing, or a quiet hello imagined in your head.
Then the banner goes up and the surprise turns out to be a welcome party. There is no failure state anywhere in this adventure and no performance to give.
Three routes, one story
Every adventure ships with three routes — ages 6–8, 9–10 and 11–12 — that share the same characters and the same ending. You print one route, not all three. Choose by reading confidence, not birthday.
Pointing counts. Saying it out loud counts. Drawing it counts. A grown-up can read the page aloud or write the answer down, and the adventure carries on exactly the same. There is no score, no timer and no ranking.
What is in your download
- The adventure — four files: A4 and US Letter, each in Colour and Low Ink. All three routes are inside every file.
- Start Here guide — A4 and US Letter, with the print list for each route and every answer.
- Agent Commission — A4 and US Letter, in Colour and Low Ink. Print one per child or team.
Low Ink uses outline artwork. No puzzle anywhere depends on colour.
Before you buy
- Ages — 6–8, 9–10 and 11–12 — three routes, the same story and the same welcome
- Complexity — The gentlest in the collection. Warm rather than tense — closer to a welcome party than a spy thriller.
- Sheets to print — 8 per route. Everything including cover, guide and award comes to 12.
- Time — About 25–35 minutes, plus 5 for the optional ideas. A planning estimate, not a tested figure.
- You need — A printer, a pencil and two minutes to lay the pages out. No parcels, no props, no hiding.
- Your part — Read aloud if it helps. An earlier answer never blocks the next page, so nothing can stall.
- Language — English
- Bonus included — Agent Commission — a one-page award, one per child or team
